See below a list of services that PPI Ltd. can offer, these bullet points indicate the range of safety subjects that we are able to advise and implement, in order that all Essential Health & Safety Requirements (EHSR's) are fulfilled :-
  • The Machinery Directive 98/37/EC
    • New machinery supplied in the EC must meet this standard. This directive is a list of EHSR's to which the machinery must comply. The purpose being to ensure that the machine is designed and constructed so that it can be used / adjusted / maintained without putting persons at risk.
    • All machinery must comply to this directive since 1995.
    • To comply each machine requires the following :-
      • Risk Assessment
      • Essential H & S Requirements
      • Technical File
      • Declaration of Conformity
      • CE Mark
  • Provision & Use of Work Equipment Regs 89/655/EEC (PUWER 98)
    • To ensure the provision of safe work equipment and its safe use, so that work equipment should not give rise to risks to health and safety, irrespective of it's age, place or origin.
  • Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA)
    • Risk Assessment (BS EN 1050) - Identification of Hazards and Risks, the likelihood of the hazard causing harm and the degree of harm that could be caused.
    • Safety parts of Control Systems BS EN 954 (Part 1) - Ensure that Safety devices and control systems comply with the appropriate standards.
    • Comply to the Rubber and Plastics Machines harmonized European Standards - BS EN 1114-1
  • Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 1994
    • Application of CDM regs. to projects
      • Identify the five key participants i.e. Principal contractor, Planning supervisor, Client, Designer and Contractors.
      • Health and Safety File
      • Health and Safety Plan
      • Ensure that the participants are aware of their responsibilities
  • Electricity at Work Regulations 1989
    • Comply with these regulations

    • General Workplace Risk Assessments
