Allen Bradley is part of the Rockwell Automation, a major American firm specialising in servo motors, motion control and factory automation equipment - including the variable speed drives which Proplas specialise in.

 


PPi directors Stephen Anderson and Bryan Green have many years of experience in the specification and design of industrial solutions from concept to completion, with a history of successful project implementation. This knowledge was gained in high volume production environments, mainly in the rubber/plastics/paper industries.

ENERGY SAVING PROJECTS IN THE PLASTIC INDUSTRY

Proplas are specialists in ENERGY SAVING PROJECTS on plastic injection / blow moulding machines.

We have implemented many successful projects on the following machines; Negri Bossi, Demag, AOKI, Nissei, Magic's, B&W, Bekum's and Sandretto's using the latest energy saving injection moulding techniques.

Proplas have obtained savings of between 20-50%, with a payback of 8 to 15 months.

Examples:

  • B&W double head extruder/blow m/c - Producing 2L HDPE bottles, cycle time = 14secs. Power usage before modification = 28kW, after modification = 14kW. This produced a real saving of £6,497 pa, with a payback of less than a year.
  • Nissei ASB 250 ISB m/c - Producing 2.5L PET containers, cycle time = 24secs. Power usage before modification = 30kW, after modification = 19kW. This produced a real saving of  £5,105 pa, with a payback of a year.
  • Demag injection moulding m/c - Producing containers, cycle time = 31secs. Power usage before modification = 41kW, after modification = 26kW. This produced a real saving of £6,960 pa, with a payback of 1.2 years.
